It was initially released in November 2002 for the PlayStation 2 and re-released for the PlayStation 3 in June 2012 and PlayStation Vita in July 2014, both individually and as part of the Ratchet & Clank Collection. As of now, we have to work with what we have. Ratchet & Clank is the first installment in the Ratchet & Clank series developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. While our relationship with PlayStation as a site is not ideal, I tried reaching out to Insomniac via Twitter about getting Tools of Destruction on PS Now with no luck. If you have a Vita and PS Now like me, you’re in a similar situation. However, if you don’t have a PlayStation 3, then you’re in trouble until Insomniac puts Tools of Destruction on PS Now which has absolutely no guarantee in happening. Long story short, if you still have a PS3 tucked away somewhere along with a PS4, you’re good to go. The Ratchet & Clank remake released on PS4 so everyone should be good on that end assuming that you have a PS4. On the bright side the next three entries of the series, Quest for Booty, A Crack in Time, and Into the Nexusall are available on PS Now on top of the PlayStation 3. Unfortunately, the title never got any kind of port and it isn’t even on PS Now, PlayStation’s streaming service. Following the first trilogy is the beginning of the future arc with Tools of Destruction that originally released on PlayStation 3. So hopefully you still have one of those systems, if not it may be a lot harder for you to get access. ![]() The first three games in the franchise which include Ratchet & Clank, Going Commando, and Up Your Arsenal received the remaster treatment in 2012 for the PS3, PS Vita, and PS TV.
